What kind of projects do you take on?
Residential construction for homeowners: additions, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, basement finishing, interior finish work, and new custom homes. We also handle siding, roofing and deck work.
Do you handle permits?
Yes. We pull the permits with your town and manage the inspections. You do not deal with the building department.
How much does an addition cost?
It depends on size, foundation work and finish level. You get a written estimate after the on-site visit, with the scope itemized, so you can compare it line by line against anyone else's.
How long does a project take?
A bathroom is usually a few weeks. A kitchen, several. An addition or a new home runs longer and depends on permits and weather. You get a start date and a finish date in writing before we begin.
Can I live in the house during construction?
For most additions and remodels, yes. We seal off the work area and keep the rest of the house usable, and we tell you up front which days will be loud or affect water and power.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We hold an Unrestricted Construction Supervisor License in Massachusetts, which is the license the state requires to do structural work, and we carry liability and workers compensation insurance. We are also a certified installer for James Hardie and LP SmartSide. Ask any contractor for their license and their certificate of insurance before you sign. Registrations can be checked with the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation.
